The association DKI (Deutsches Kupferinstitut e. V.) has requested the introduction of a new material CC757S in the Composition List on June 17th 2014.
The request is to add CC757S in the Composition List. The material is based on CB755S, but with changes in the composition and a lower lead content . The requested material will be standardized and the standard name will be CC757S.
This material will be included in the category of Copper-Zinc-Lead-Aluminium Alloys.

The alloy was tested in all 3 test water according to EN 15664-2, the requirements for testing a new reference material are fulfilled and the tested composition can be used as the composition of the reference material.
The tested material complies with all requirements laid down in the 4MS Document and it can be concluded that there is no significant risk of exceeding any drinking water limit when this material is used for production in contact with drinking water.
It is acceptable to introduce this alloy in the new category of Copper – Zinc – Lead – Aluminium Alloys.
